I hate to flood the list on this issue- but it seems like the check type "command" isn't included with the windows install. Anyone have any advice?? :) c:\program files\big sister\uxmon.exe -D 4 [snip] no matching test for command no matching test for command [snip] I'm running the 1.00.1.2 MSI-based windows agent. -----Original Message----- From: suppressed on behalf of david d Sent: Wed 12/14/2005 7:25 AM To: suppressed Subject: RE: [Bigsister-general] re: Bbscript question I was able to get the openmanage script to work using a different method. Instead of bbscript, I used command. The line in uxmon-net looks like this (all one line): localhost exec="/bigsis/openmanage.cmd" time=120 results=green:green:Ok;yellow:yellow:Warning;timeout:red:ERROR;red:red:E RROR command (I think the red:red:ERROR should be something else, maybe *:red:Error.) I also had to change the openmanage script slightly. Once the script created the report/output file, I changed it to "type" file, which directed it to stdin for command to send it to uxmon. The other change was to have the openmanage script delete the report/output file. The bin/bbecho command is not present in the MSI distribution. I looked at other bigbrother (unix) scripts where the file is output using $bb $bbdisp etc, but the $bb environment variable resolves to bin/bbecho. I'm starting a migration from bigbrother to bigsister and this was almost a show-stopper for us. We have become dependent on the openmange monitor script for our servers, especially for the servers at remote locations. (Now to work on alarm notifications <G>.) -----Original Message----- From: suppressed [mailto:suppressed On Behalf Of Rob Terhaar Sent: Tuesday, December 13, 2005 6:43 PM To: suppressed Subject: [Bigsister-general] re: Bbscript question >From: david d <suppressed> >I have a big brother script that I'm attempting to run in big sister >(the openmanage NT script from www.deadcat.net.) I just recently started testing out bigsister and have the same question! I wasn't able to figure out how to get any of the deadcat.net scripts to run. I started out with the much simpler ping script- no luck. Any gurus out there want to pitch in (and perhaps update the documentation..) on how to use bbscripts? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
