Hi, I am trying to monitor process on several systems and I am seeing the same problem. I have the following line in uxmon-net localhost pscomm="/sbin/ps -e" proc="httpd" min=1 perf=1 item="HTTP" procs I see a red status under the HTTP heading displayed on the status web page and "httpd (no process)" in the history page. However ps lists many instances of httpd on the monitored system suppressed:/home/young> ps -e | grep httpd 8181 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8182 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8183 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8184 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8185 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8186 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8191 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8192 ? 00:00:00 httpd 8193 ? 00:00:00 httpd If I now change the uxmon entry to monitor cron, inetd or some other system process process, the problem disappears e.g localhost pscomm="/sbin/ps -e" proc="cron" min=1 perf=1 item="HTTP" procs This is occuring on two different platforms (linux and Tru64 UNIX). If anyone can provide an explanation or a resolution to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.
