Re: [Bigsister-general] /var/log/messages issue

On a Debian system, the standard way of doing this is to add the bigsis user to the adm group, which has read permission to most of the files in /var/log.

I have the invariable permission denied issue on /var/log/messages whist using bigsister. What is the most current technique on addressing such an issue on my Linux box install of bigsis?

I can see two ways out: run the log monitor from an uxmon.asroot config
file, or convince the system that permissions on /var/log/messages
should be so that BigSister can read it
