Yes and no :-)

If you put something like

Disk (.*) failing fatally	red	100000000	Disk $1 crashed
Disk (.*) repaired clear	0 Disk $1 crashed

into etc/syslog, then uxmon will start reporting red as soon as it
sees the pattern "Disk ... failing fatally" appear in syslog and keep
it red for a very long time.

As soon as you have replaced the disk you can post a message to syslog
via i.e.

  logger "Disk ... repaired"

uxmon will see this message and remove the red "Disk ... crashed"
message.

There is one danger: if the syslog monitor is restarting it will forget
all the old messages and re-parse the most recent entries in the log,
thus the last 1h or 4MB by default.

Best regards,
Tom
