In order to get connect to our display server without having to punch holes though the firewall, we need to do SSH Tunnels on a few of our servers. Currently, I beleive we have the SSH tunnel setup correctly, however the Big Sister agent doesn't seem to reporting to the display. On the agent, in /etc/rc.local we have: # Start up Big Sister SSH Tunnel su bigsis -c 'nohup ssh -L 10984:displayserver:1984 -N displayserver &' We also have the proper SSH keys so that the user bigsis can authenticate to the displayserver without a passphrase. Now, I have tested this on the agent host by running: telnet localhost 10984 status agent.test green END Appears to work. So, I have the line in /etc/bigsister/uxmon-net: localhost port=10984 bsdisplay Then I start up the big sister agent. One problem, the big sister agent never seems like it reports to the display server. I can still test and make sure the tunnel is running manually via telnet, however, the agent just doesn't seem to do anything. What seems to be missing?
