From: "John Stevens" <suppressed> To: <suppressed> Subject: [Bigsister-general] snmpvar - how to? Date: Mon, 28 Feb 2005 15:39:57 +1100 Hi All, I am running bigsis on a windows box. I would like to use the snmpvar check to fetch temperature and humidity from a network device and was wondering if anyone had any pointers to do this. Currently I use: hostname variable="system.spProbe1Temp" item="temp" snmpvar hostname variable="system.spProbe1Humidity" item="humi" snmpvar And have added the following lines in etc\mibs.txt: spProbe1Temp 1.3.6.1.4.1.3854.1.2.2.1.16.1.3.0 spProbe1Humidity 1.3.6.1.4.1.3854.1.2.2.1.17.1.3.0 These are the oids for these sensors. All I get is an snmp column and snmpvar:OK snmpvar:OK. No values. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
