No. It is also available for Windows (2K and XP). The actual requester  
module for Linux is lxNetwork.pm, which uses the Linux /proc interface to  
retrieve data from the OS. For Windows the data comes from win32perf.pm,  
which apparently interfaces a performance monitoring API in Windows.
Until someone writes a requester module for Solaris, or Unix in general,  
your best bet is SNMP, i.e. remote.
I have had success with this for monitoring network interfaces on Sun  
systems.
