I also had this problem and fixed it by running the network test from my bigsister server as an snmp test.
E.g.

DESCR  features=unix,solaris,remote solhost
solhost network

Hello,

i have a problem getting a status from the network interface on solaris. In my uxmon-net file i have the following lines:

DESCR  features=unix,solaris,local localhost
localhost  interface=hme0 network

The lamp is always purple, not showing any interface. On Linux, it works fine
btw. with just 'localhost network' in uxmon-net

Any hints, how i can investigate further? Am i doing something wrong?
