Hi All, I am running Big Sister on windows based machines
(yes I know, but the company won’t let me put UNIX anywhere) using 0.99b2
pre-installed for windows. The Display server is working well, and it is
trending it’s own performance data quite well. I have DESCribed it
and all the monitored machines as features=windows, windowsxp (even though they
are win2k3), and the display server trends all the usual CPU/Memory/Disk/network
stuff. All the web servers I monitor with realhttp also trend the time of
connection which is pretty handy. The problem comes when I install an
agent on another machine. It sends the status info OK, but no performance
data. No matter what I do, there is no performance data sent. If I run
the agent with Perl uxmon\uxmon –D 2 there is a message that says that
perfdata variables parsed = 0 and no variables end up in var\uxmon.variables.
However, if I tail the var\status.log????????? file (MS SFU if you want to
know) I see the performance data lines coming in from the monitored host.
But still no sign of any performance data rrds or graphs of the data. It
has me completely baffled. Can anyone point me to where I have gone
wrong with this. BTW I run it under IIS. If anyone
want’s to know how, drop me a line and I will let you know. Regards John Stevens |
