AW: [Bigsister-general] Dns problems

Hi,

I fixed my DNS-problems in the following way

First I changed the file /usr/local/lib/bs/uxmon/Config/dns as follows

$cmd->add_check( $args{"alias"}.".dns", "$dnscomm $args{query} $args{host}",
[ 0, "green", "dns OK" ], [ "timeout", "red", "dns TIMEOUT" ], [ "*", "
red", "dns FAILURE" ] );

With these changes the following line in uxmon-net is possible:

	localhost    query=www.web.de host=127.0.0.1 dns

Or if you want to query a remote dns-server

	remote.dns.server.com    query=www.any.page.com
host=remote.dns.server.com dns

That should work.

Regards,
Stefan Baum

i got no experience with the dns check. perhaps someone else on the list can
