Have you run diskperf -y? This is also run by the install program and requires a reboot. Also, the client seems to start improperly on reboot, I believe because bigsis starts before services it depends on. On some machines I need to manually restart the bigsis service after a reboot. You can also check the event log for messages, maybe something like "Unable to start disk performance counters". Windows performance counters can be problematic on some machines and troubleshooting them is a pain. Probably not much help.
