Re: [Bigsister-general] How to ignore error message on /var/log/maillog

That "0" after the "yellow" means that the status will not be kept if
something else comes along to override it.
You need to decide how long you want the status to be set yellow when one
of those messages is spotted in the log file.
Similarly for the "green" line above.
I'm guessing what you're trying to achieve here is to make the light go
yellow for a while when you get the log message and have it green
otherwise, so you need e.g.

/var/log/mail/mail.log,/var/log/mail,/var/log/maillog,/var/log/syslog,/var/adm/syslog/mail.log:

default green 0 syslog and mail logs look
fine
config error: mail loops back to me yellow 60 mail loop

Hi,

I am trying to filter the following error message in /var/log/maillog by
modifying etc/syslog.

Jul 19 18:44:47 test sendmail[12863]: i6JAikLM012863: SYSERR(root):
127.0.1.50. config error: mail loops back to me (MX problem?)

#### etc/syslog

/var/log/mail/mail.log,/var/log/mail,/var/log/maillog,/var/log/syslog,/var/adm/syslog/mail.log:

default green 0 syslog looks fine
stat=Sent                       green   60      messages transmitted
config error: mail loops back to me yellow 0 mail loop

The alarm will still be raised and after few seconds the alarm will be
cleaned.

Could anyone tell me how to fix it?

Linda
