[Bigsister-general] monitoring CPU and disk in AIX 4.3 and 5.2 macines

Hi all,

I am trying with bigsister 099.b2 version to monitor AIX 4.3 and AIX 5.2 and both have similar problems monitoring the CPU and in one machine (with AIX 5.2) also monitoring file systems. (Similar problems I had with the 098c8 version)

MONITORING THE CPU:

It is showed as purple and the following message is showed in the web page ( this is showed in an AIX 5.2 without the top command installed and in AIX 4.3 with the top command):

f1 cpu (purple) (1090248032) Mon Jul 19 11:40:32 2004
(purple) CPU test failing
(purple) Swap Space no info available
(purple) % Disk Busy status not known, CPU load = 0.06
(green) logged on users = 1
11:35AM up 4 days, 23:34, 1 user, load average: 0.06, 0.07, 0.09

In other aix 4.3 it shows the following:
no file systems monitored
CPU load = 0.11, (green) logged on users = 1
11:50AM up 211 days, 6:46, 1 user, load average: 0.11, 0.13, 0.13

In all the machines the sar -A 1 240 runs properly and shows the following :

               0 0 0 0 0 0

The top command was implemented with a ps -aef -o pid= -o user= .......|cut -c -130 |sort -k 10r|head -3.

MONITORING FILE SYSTEMS:
In the AIX 5.2 machine the disk test is showed as purple and the following is showed:

(purple) no info available
no errors logged, (green) /disk1 3.6GB (54%) free
(green) /tmp 185.7MB (96.7%) free, (green) /cm 6.8GB (96.9%) free
(green) /var 16.5MB (26%) free, (green) /opt 54.6MB (85%) free
 (green) /usr 228.5MB (16%) free, (green) /home 44MB (69%) free
(green) / 33.7MB (53%) free, (green) /netbackup 6.1GB (30%) free

In all the machines the df -k shows the same information.

In the other machines, the first line ( (purple) no info available) is not showed.

Best regards and thank you in advance,
Gustavo
