Hi Tom(or anyone else:), Can you possibly shed some light on the statusfile/graphs question? (I need graphs made from information I store in a statusfile). Thanks, Gilad. ################################# Hi, We have set up BigSister such that it will get information concerning the different machines it monitors through a statusfile. So we've got a line like: localhost file=adm/statusfile statusfile in uxmon-net and we've got a script run by crond which creates adm/statusfile periodically. This file has lines that look this: status myhostname.ping green ping heard 15 status anotherhostname.load green CPU load is 3 . . . et cetera. With this setup, we get green or red lights for each machine/test depending on what the script puts into adm/statusfile. My questions are these: How do I get this data to be kept in the RRD and get graphs made out of it? Do I need to add more information to each line in the statusfile? Do I need to ask my script to do this seperately? Thank you very much!:) Gilad. ######################################## --- suppressed --- suppressed ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC=lycos10 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
