Hi Ed,

At this point, I'm beginning to wonder why you're looking at using
CGI::Application. Perhaps I missed something in an earlier post but for
the complexity that you've been discussing, I would definitely take the
recommendations presented by the folks who have responded to you. I
suspect you came here because you're beginning to realize the
limitations of SSI.

With all the choices in template solutions available, I know it can seem
overwhelming, esp. compared to SSI. I'd recommend taking a look at
Perrin's article[1] which compares several templates including SSI
(though hasn't been updated to include some of the newer solutions such
as TAL[2]).
