I still use it too. Once you have a bunch mod_perl apps running on a
single apache server, you start running out of memory very quickly.
And a lot of the stuff I write for my clients just doesn't need the
power, so CGI is good enough. If the hits start coming in too
quickly, I just slap on PersistentPerl with no changes needed (just
the instance script).
mod_perl is great, but it doesn't fit every task...
